Invoice Maker: Terms of Use

We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use Invoice Maker for your own business, on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify or redistribute the app, attempt to extract its source code, or use our name or trademarks without our permission.

Invoice Maker is a tool that lays out and calculates a document and produces a PDF. What that document says is yours.

• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of every document you produce: the amounts, the tax rates and tax treatment you select, the invoice numbering, the wording, and whether the document meets the requirements of your country and your tax authority.
• The app is not a tax or compliance service. It does not give tax or legal advice, does not file anything with any authority, and does not produce electronic invoices for jurisdictions that mandate a specific e-invoicing format or clearance process. If you are unsure what your rules require, take professional advice.
• The app never sends an invoice to your client by itself. You share the PDF, through whichever app you choose. Features that create documents on a schedule create drafts for you to review — they do not send anything.
• We do not convert between currencies, and we do not set exchange rates.

Invoice Maker can be used free of charge with limits — a capped number of issued invoices per calendar month, a subset of the PDF templates, and some tools reserved for Pro. The limits in force are the ones shown in the app. Invoice Maker Pro lifts them and removes ads. The free version shows advertising, as described in the privacy policy.

• Pro is sold as a subscription through Google Play, with weekly, monthly and yearly plans. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. Payment is charged to your Google Play account, and the subscription renews for the same period at the same price until you cancel it.
• Cancelling. You cancel in Google Play — Play Store → Subscriptions — not in the app, and not by uninstalling it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or the next renewal may still be charged. After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Free trials. Where a plan is offered with a free trial, the trial converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. Trial offers may be limited to people who have not subscribed before.
• Price changes. If we change the price of a plan, Google Play notifies you in advance and asks for your agreement before charging the new price.

Purchases are made from Google, so refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy and are requested through Google Play. Any statutory right of withdrawal you have under your local consumer law is unaffected. If something in the app is broken, write to us as well — we would rather fix it.

Invoice Maker stores everything on your device and we keep no copy. That is deliberate, and it has a consequence you should plan for: if you lose the device, reset it, or uninstall the app, the data is gone unless you have exported a backup yourself. We cannot restore it for you. The app can export a backup file at any time; keeping a recent one somewhere safe is your responsibility.

We may update the app, change or remove features, and at some point stop supporting older Android versions or the app altogether. Some updates may be required for the app to keep working. We may end your licence if you use the app in breach of these terms. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the app — remembering that an active subscription must be cancelled separately in Google Play.

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from a document you issued — including any tax, penalty or dispute that results from it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
